Every shop that makes things ends up with a shelf of things that are almost right. An engraving that shifted a hair. A corner that got dinged on the way out of the laser. A plate that came back from a customer who measured the wrong switch. They're perfectly good plates. They're just not the plate somebody ordered.

So now they have their own listing: Clearance Wood Light Switch and Outlet Covers. Half off my regular price, and the dropdown only shows what is actually on my shelf right now.

Clearance wood switch and outlet plates
Returns, misprints and seconds. Every one is one of a kind.

What Can Be Wrong With Them

Each plate may have one or more of these:

Every plate still fits standard US electrical boxes and installs just like a regular cover. Unless otherwise specified, they come pre-finished and are made from real wood veneered MDF-core plywood.

What You Give Up

Because these plates are already made, you can't choose the grain direction or rounded versus square corners, and backing plates may or may not fit a particular plate. They're also completely flat, without the recess behind them that a standard plastic plate has.

Pricing

Half off the regular price: single (1-gang) plates are $4.95 (blanks $3.95), and each additional gang adds $2. Screws are included, in your choice of ten finishes.

Reading the Plate Names

The dropdown names read wood plus configuration:

Not sure what you have on the wall? The install guide walks through it, and the species guide shows what each wood looks like.

All clearance sales are final. No returns or exchanges — the flaws are why they're discounted. If you want to see a specific plate before buying, message me and I'll send a photo.

Want a perfect one, with your grain direction and your corners? That's the regular made-to-order collection.
