Shop Update: New Listings and Products, Spring 2026

Spring 2026 has been the biggest update to the shop since launch. New product categories, new materials, new configuration options — here's a full rundown of what changed and what's available now.

New 69 Doormat Designs

The doormat category launched this spring with 69 designs across three sub-categories:

Japanese Geometric Patterns

Six traditional patterns — Asanoha, Seigaiha, Kikko, Shippo, Hanabishi, and Kumiko — each with centuries of history and specific symbolic meaning. See the full Japanese doormat guide for background on each pattern.

Funny / Attitude Mats

Go Away Please, Why Are You Here, We Have Like a Thousand Cats, Tread On Me (rattlesnake graphic), Private Property No Trespassing, Don't Do Anything Stupid. For front doors with opinions.

Themed & Patterned Mats

Hobbit/LOTR inspired, Dungeons & Dragons D20, Tiki Tropical, botanical leaf patterns, and more geometric designs. All natural coir fiber, standard front door size.

New Specialty Wood Switch Plate Species

The standard wood switch plate lineup now has a specialty tier — eight exotic and premium wood species available by request. These aren't in the standard dropdown because availability varies by the sheet, but if you want something truly unusual for a specific room or project, these are worth asking about.

To order a specialty species, contact VARØ Industries with your species, gang configuration, and device type. Made to order with typical lead time of 1–2 weeks.

New TruFlat Backing Plates

The backing plate for TruFlat installations has been updated. TruFlat is the installation method for getting switch plates to sit completely flush against walls — particularly useful in older homes where wall surfaces aren't perfectly flat, or where textured walls create gaps behind standard switch plates. The new backing plates for spring 2026 are revised geometry for a cleaner, tighter installation. Available with any switch plate order — ask in the listing notes or contact us.

New Acrylic Switch Plates

A new material option has been added: acrylic switch plates. Available in 20+ colors and finishes — including clear gloss, matte black, transparent black, neon, iridescent, rose gold mirror, rainbow stripes, and more — cut to the same standard US specifications as the wood plates. If you don't see a color listed, ask: the supplier catalog covers hundreds of options.

Acrylic plates ship with the same screw color options as wood plates. Browse current acrylic listings at varoindustries.etsy.com or contact us for custom configurations.
